Music lovers descended on Santa Pod Raceway over the weekend as the venue hosted its brand-new tribute music festival, Podstock, delivering three days of live entertainment, family fun and feel-good festival vibes.
Designed as an affordable alternative to the UK’s larger music festivals, Podstock brought together an impressive line-up of tribute acts celebrating some of the world’s biggest music stars, attracting visitors from across the region and beyond.
Friday evening got the festival off to a spectacular start with performances from Sound of AC/DC, Kings of Leon, Twist of Rock, Oasis of Sound and Viva La Vida – Coldplay, creating a high-energy atmosphere that had festivalgoers singing along from the very first set.
Saturday continued the momentum with a packed programme featuring Sum of Sheeran, A Grande Experience, Take That Reunion, Spice World The Tribute, 24K Bruno, Absolute Britney, Jackson – Dancing the Dream and the ever-popular Queen UK. Crowds gathered throughout the day to enjoy the non-stop entertainment, with many describing the performances as being remarkably close to the real thing.
The festival concluded on Sunday with a diverse line-up that included Zach Bryan UK, Totally Taylor Swift, Got To Be Steps and Chasing Mumford. Families, groups of friends and music fans of all ages embraced the relaxed atmosphere as the weekend drew to a close.
Beyond the music, visitors enjoyed a range of family-friendly activities, arts and crafts, food vendors and refreshments, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy between performances.
With strong attendance figures, enthusiastic crowds and glowing feedback from festivalgoers, the inaugural Podstock proved to be a resounding success. Santa Pod’s latest addition to its events calendar clearly struck a chord with audiences.
Couple all this with the track activities with cars and bikes battling it out across a huge range of classes on the Quarter Mile, it was certainly an action packed weekend for all to enjoy.
